Haz St Paul's
Nestled in the heart of London at 34 Foster Lane, just steps away from the majestic St. Paul’s Cathedral, Haz St Paul's brings the bold, vibrant flavors of the Mediterranean and Middle East into a stylish, urban dining space. Whether you're a local office worker escaping for lunch, a solo diner looking for a quiet dinner, or a group sharing meze under the sun, this is the kind of spot that manages to feel both modern and timeless.
From the outside, Haz St Paul's already feels inviting. The outdoor seating gives off a breezy café vibe, perfect for sipping Turkish tea on a warm afternoon or diving into small plates as the city hums around you. Once inside, the setting is relaxed but refined-wheelchair-accessible throughout, with comfortable seating and a layout that encourages lingering over food and conversation.
Let’s talk dishes. The Mixed Grill Platter is a definite crowd-pleaser-think juicy lamb chops, smoky chicken shish, and tender lamb shish all served up with soft flatbread and herbed rice. If you want a solo dish that still packs a punch, the Iskender Kebab is rich, hearty, and beautifully layered with tomato sauce and yogurt over toasted bread. Vegetarians won’t feel left out either; the Falafel is crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and pairs perfectly with their vibrant salad bar options and dips like hummus and baba ghanoush.
Those looking for something a little more adventurous might lean toward the Lamb Tagine, slow-cooked to tender perfection with apricots and warm spices, or the Swordfish, which arrives seared with a golden crust and delicate flakes. And if you’re into classics done right, you can’t skip the Chicken Shish, which is seasoned just enough to let the chargrilled flavor take center stage.
Desserts here are a quiet triumph. The Baklava comes generously layered, sticky with syrup and packed with crushed pistachios. Pair it with a robust Turkish coffee or a delicate Jasmine Tea, and you’ve got yourself a well-rounded finale. The drinks menu also deserves a nod-with a curated wine list, cocktails, beer, and happy hour options that make Haz St Paul's just as suitable for after-work catchups as it is for casual date nights.
One of the restaurant’s strongest points is its ability to cater to different lifestyles. You’ll find plenty of healthy options, vegetarian-friendly dishes, and halal-certified meat, which makes Haz incredibly inclusive. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite, a late-night food fix, or a slow lunch with mezze all day, it all flows naturally here.
And let's not overlook the service-it’s consistently warm and attentive, but not overbearing. Staff are happy to recommend dishes or customize orders based on dietary needs. Plus, the option for delivery and takeaway means you can bring a little taste of Anatolia home with you.
Haz St Paul's manages to strike a rare balance: it's accessible yet elevated, traditional yet contemporary. If you’re roaming around the City of London and craving rich Mediterranean spices, a grilled meat feast, or even just a comforting cup of Turkish tea, this spot quietly but confidently delivers.

We came here for a light dinner after having been to the Barbican centre before to see a production. I hadn’t been here in quite a long time as I no longer work in the city but forgot about this place as I used to come to Haz quite often a few years ago. Fairly priced, great service, good food. Generous portions, I had the iskender, though it doesn’t mention lamb kofta on the menu, I would have preferred more skewered lamb. The iskender had a touch too much yoghurt and bread for me which I’m guessing is to fatten out the meal. The chicken tagine is decent too. I had a glass of the Haz rosé, lovely and refreshing. Will try to keep in mind next time I’m back in the area
The food at HAZ St Paul was delicious and full of authentic Turkish flavors. However, the portion sizes felt a bit small for the price. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a clean and cozy atmosphere that made the dining experience enjoyable. The staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout. Overall, a pleasant visit great quality, though a bit more quantity would have made it perfect.
Came here for a Father’s Day meal with my dad. The waiter was brilliant and was really friendly and helpful. We got a steak, lamb chops and a mixed grill The food was well seasoned and fresh. The desert was yummy too! Will definitely visit here again!
Really nice spot for a dinner. They have a great set menu and the portion was perfect. The lamb shish was well cooked and seasoned and the cacik was tasty. Overall a solid option for a comforting Turkish meal.
Been here for lunch, it was a great sunny day. The portion and the taste of the food was just appropriate. But service wasn’t great. I asked for something and it has never came to the table. While location is good but those chime of bells from the nearby cathedrals were too loud. It has been chiming all the way since I sat down on the table and continued while I was leaving . Very noisy place.
